I beleive he meant just to move long distances. As in, click on a point far away on the map, and then sit back and let the pathfinding take care of it. Just like runescape...if anyone else has played it . A local teleport ... ugh...there really isn't any point in trying to talk about it.

One other thing I have to say, though this really isn't a "suggestion" is thank you for the new character interface and the new PvP characters. I LOVE this new system, especially the permanent skill un-locking and the easily-obtainable decent equipment.

Skill Cap and preorder item
Hey im new to the forum, but i have two suggestions. Its nice how you can change around your skills, but waht if you purchase skills that turn out to be bad. Correct me if im wrong, but there is a limit to the number of skills you can have right? If this is the case, a newer player might buy skills that eventually are not so good for pvp or pvm. All im saying is there should be a way to change your skills. For say 500 gold, you could delete a skill, and replace it with another.
My other thought isnt directly concerning this release, but the pre-release people. When I pre-ordered GW I didnt realize that each retailer had their own special item associated with them (yeah im dumb). So now I will have the Ithas Bow (EB online) but at the present im not interested in making a ranger. I would like to be able to trade it for a monk relic, BUT in the official FAQ it says the item will be customized for your player. I think it would be more fun to be able to trade them (and customize if you want) so people who didnt pre-order can obtain them, or so people can specialize in a different profession, rather than having an uber item they wont use. Thanks for taking the time to read,
Skippy

no pickie no tradie
at the start the experts seem to agree with grab the best melee weapon and do more damage swinging for the firsr few levels (at least 4) then start to use your primary skills as they will have a bit more punch with some attribute points behind them

What if every month or two the guys at ANET took control of a fortress/dungeon/castle and the entire guild wars community can join together & try to take it back for Ascalon. Kind of like a massive raid with 100's of players working like an army against ANET and it's minions.

massive lag
that is what
and besides, the reason GW is not a monthly burden is because it doesnt have 100's upon thousannds of people in one server
that takes a bite out of their money
which is why you get your "own copy of a level"
so there arent tons of people lagging up the servers

another chat spam filter, would be a caps lock filter.
I think any chat that is above 35% caps should be filtered out... because honestly, no sentence would ever require above 35% capitalization.

Team health and energy
It would be really nice to be able to see your team's health AND ENERGY in the team list at screen right. That way, my team is aware that my Elementalist is low on energy, and they know when it's OK to start walking to the next group of enemies.
I also wish we could select our teammates in PvP missions. My friends and I try to time it just right and infrequently get to battle together.

Maybe like /inspect or /check or something.
It's mostly for curiosity and such, but it'd be nice to know what kind of stat/attritbute boosts, as well as armor etc.. a character has.
|
No way. I wouldn't want anyone else but my guild to see what items or attributes I have. This would detract from the reality of the game. Have you ever walked by someone in the mall and just grabbed their shopping bags and started looking through them?

I get what your saying. You click on the direction and your character runs there. I like this idea because often times I try to use my map and switch back and run and go to my map again and it gets really messy.

I'd have to disagree with Agent here. I think it'd be like a town with multiple districts. I don't think it would be that hard to hold up, especially if it was only an occational thing. I'd love it. The only problem I could see is if they didn't build it and put it on the CD, it might take a while to load and kind of be not as fun for the dial up players. Other than that, I think it's a great idea that a lot of us would really enjoy.

If I can read it all in a two day span with school, then Gaile should be able to read it in no time. I mean, isn't that Gaile's job? Don't worry, I know Gaile's been on, but there's just been no recent posts.

Would be interesting having guilds goto war with their max of 50 guildmates each.

What do you think about limiting the losses per day in GvG?
I know alot has been said about the problems with the GvG ladder and ladders in general, but I would like to offer a solution and see what you think about it. I realize that guilds in the top 10 have a difficult choice to make, " should they play another GvG and take the chance that they will loose their rank?". When this gets to be a difficult decision it starts to take the fun out of it; and, with less people at the top wanting to risk their status, it only increases the problem of being able to find opponents at that level. One suggestion was to not have a penalty when loosing. Well, this might aliviate the problem of being afraid to play, but then you are not rewarded by skill anymore. Instead, you are awarded by how many times you play, and as time progresses it makes it very difficult if not impossible for a new guild to catch up to the number of wins an old guild has. To level the playing field here, you have to have some sort of penalty for the losses too (which is the way it is now), but losing 40 points in rank from a couple of losses hits is quite hard on the players' and guild's morale.
What if we put a limit on the losses per day? The value would have to be tuned, but I think that it would take the fear out of playing and instead make you want to play more because you know you have a day to redeem your rank. I could actually imagine an increase in GvG battles bacause of guilds wanting to regain their rank. And skill still comes into play here because if your guild doesn't have the skills, then it could lose again tommorow.

What about just the things they're wearing or weilding?
You can already see those items on them, but it might be nice to know what those items are called and what their stats are.

Like I said in this thread, I'd love to have more colour customization in Guild Wars.

This might never get read but i'm going to throw it in anyway...
I think the begining of the game is way to confusing to someone who has never seen it before. Having a basic walkthrough of the HUD and basic game mechanics would be a real plus.
i think a series of windows each with a little info on them(5 lines max on a different aspect skills, exp points, leveling, point distribution) would not distract from the game and would get people oriented. Windows that you have to press "ok" to are impossible to miss and players who need it can read through them.
If this information were made clear in the very begining then the KoA could be more intense and less slow. The ease of this area, along with hazy explainations, really mis-represents the depth and difficulty of the game.
